LOCAL ISSUES, Principality of Suyab, 7th-8th century. Cash (Bronze, 24 mm, 3.60 g). Human bust turned slightly to left, wearing earrings; to right, ‘prn’, i.e. ‘farn’ (‘glory’ in Sogdian); to left, ‘βγy’, i.e. ‘βaγ-ē’ (‘of the lord’ in Sogdian). Rev. Tamgha of Suyab with additional hooks on the upper left and lower right. Zeno 300986. Very rare. Some weakness and deposits, otherwise, very fine.
